Transfer options from Cairns to
Port Douglas:
The vessel departs from Port Douglas, which is one hour north of
Cairns. A local bus company provides a regular service between
Cairns, Port Douglas and the airport, which costs $27.50 per person
one way, the trip takes approximately 1 ½ hours. Alternatively, a
private limousine is available and the cost is approximately $150.00
(to be confirmed upon booking) each way inclusive GST and takes
approximately 1 hour.
If you are travelling in a group, a private coach with driver is
available and costs $180.00 each way for a 21 seater, or $160.00
each way for a 10 seater. This can also accommodate large quantities
of dive gear and luggage. Please note all prices are estimates only
and will be verified on booking. If you require assistance with

Accommodation options in Cairns or Port Douglas:
If you require information for accommodation before or after your
expedition I am very happy to assist. Port Douglas has a variety of
accommodation options ranging from backpackers, motel rooms, self
contained studio rooms, self contained apartments to resort style
accommodation.

Port Douglas is surrounded by rainforest clad mountains of high
altitudes. Please remember the no dive/fly rule when booking your
accommodation immediately after your trip. If you stay on the
Tablelands, or Cape Tribulation, travelling 300m above sea level,
you will be limited as to whether you wish to do the final two dives
on the last day.
